Indus University Ahmedabad, governed by Bhandari Charitable Trust, recognized under sections 22 and 2(f) of the UGC 1956 Act, was established in 2012 to impart Education in the state of Gujarat.

University has successfully contributed to the world of Education in various professional and traditional fields of Education in the disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Management, Sciences, Computer, Aviation and Liberal studies approved by statutory councils.

Legal Education has helped society to get appropriate justice for all sectors since ages immemorial. Indus University dreams of providing High-Quality Legal Education to the needy. Most popularly known courses under various schemes of the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Government of India in the fields of legal Education are LLB(Hons.), BA LLB(Hons.) and BBA LLB(Hons.) for the students coming from interdisciplinary backgrounds. National Education Policy-2020 has recently launched multidisciplinary and skill development initiatives to be adopted by Universities and centres of higher learning.

Activities of the Department

Field Visit & Survey

With a view to gaining insight into the awareness, perception, and experiences of the residents of nearby villages of Indus University, law students from the Indian Institute of Law, Indus University, conducted a field survey on fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution of India under the guidance of Dr. Priya Khandivar and CS Vihasi Shah. The survey aimed to assess the awareness, access, and protection of these fundamental rights within the community.


Group Discussion on "Legal Aspects of Contract Drafting"

Indus Institute of Law organized a group discussion on "Legal Aspects of Contract Drafting" on October 05, 2023, bringing together students from various law programs for a valuable exchange of ideas and insights. The discussion aimed to enhance participants' understanding of contract drafting's legal intricacies, foster critical thinking and communication skills, and divided students into groups to discuss specific aspects of contract drafting. These discussions were crucial for shaping future legal professionals and advancing their expertise in the dynamic field of contract law.


Induction & Student Empowerment Program - 2023

Indus Institute of Law, in conjunction with the Institute of Sciences, Humanities, and Liberal Studies (IISHLS), organized an Induction & Student Empowerment Program - 2023 on July 27, 2023.The program covered a wide array of Topics, including Expert Talks by Mr. B.N. Dastoor, University Rules and Regulations, Examination Pattern, Information Session on ERP/IT, details about the Students Activity Cell, Career Guidance and Placement Activities. The Orientation Program also provided aspiring law students with a comprehensive introduction to legal education, familiarizing them with the legal profession, the structure of the law school and the various academic and extracurricular opportunities available to them.
