The objective of SAC (Student Affairs Committee) is to provide a platform for student’s activity in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, fostering their personal goal and enhancing their overall university experience.

The formation of the Student Affairs Committee aims to enhance student engagement, foster a vibrant campus culture, and provide opportunities for personal growth and skill development.

The student counselling cell at Indus university is dedicated to providing comprehensive and confidential support to all the students, ensuring their emotional well-being personal growth and academic The aim is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment, where students can thrive and overcome challenges through professional guidance and support.

As per the directives of UGC, a Student Counselling Cell is established under the Student Affairs Committee (SAC) for the year 2024-25 and 2025-26 with a view to address the common concerns of students ranging from anxiety, stress, fear of change and failure to home sickness as well as for the on-campus safety of students. The Students Counselling Cell is established of the following members:

The Member Coordinator will organize a meeting every month and submit the minutes of meeting to the office of Registrar.

In tune with the Approval Process Hand Book 2022-23, Indus University in Compliance with the letter from UGC & AICTE time to time, Counselors Committee has been constituted for the academic year 2022-23 with the following members:

University Student Grievance Redressal Committee

The “University Student Grievance Redressal Committee” primary objective is to ensure the wellbeing of students and provide a dedicated platform for addressing any grievances they may encounter during their academic journey.

The main objectives of the committee will be to provide opportunities for redress of certain grievances of students already enrolled in any institution, as well as those seeking admission to such institutions and a mechanism thereto.

The establishment of University Student Grievance at Indus University is a significant step towards fostering an environment that prioritizes student well-being and ensures a fair and transparent process for addressing grievances. By providing a platform for open communication and prompt resolution of issues, we can create a more harmonious and conducive learning environment for all the students.

The University student grievance redressal committee members for a period 2026-28.

The committee will have meeting every Month Minimum to discuss on the issues and sub e Minutes of the same to registrar office.

As per the guidelines provided by the University Grant commission (UGC), Prof. (Dr.) Pankajkumar P Pandya is appointed as the Ombudsperson from June 22, 2024.

The Ombudsperson will serve as an independent and impartial authority to address grievances and complaints from students, faculty, and staff.

The appointment is commitment for fair and transparent academic environment.

As per the directives of the AICTE, Indus University has established the SC/ST Cell for Effective implementation of reservation policy and programmes for the SC/ST students and staff members in the University.

The SC-ST cell will serve as an essential support system to promote the welfare, inclusivity and empowerment of SC and ST students, faculty, and staff on campus. The Primary objective of the SC-ST cell is to create an inclusive environment that ensures equal opportunities in all aspects of university life. The cell will focus on following key areas:-

1. Support and guidance
2. Awareness and Sensitization
3. Scholarship and Financial Aid
4. Grievance Redressal
5. Outreach Program

The SC/ST Cell with the following composition has been constituted for a period of two years i.e.2026-27 & 2027-28:

The Anti-Ragging committee serves as a beacon of hope and protection for students, promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and zero tolerance for ragging, both physical and psychological, thereby safeguarding the dignity and well-being of every student.

The Key objectives of the Anti-Committee

• Formulating and implementing policies and guidelines to prevent and combat ragging on campus.
• Conducting regular awareness campaigns and orientation sessions to educate students about the harmful effects of ragging and the disciplinary consequences associated with it.
• Conducting prompt and impartial investigation in to reported incidents, take appropriate disciplinary actions against the perpetrators.
• Regularly monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of anti- ragging measures, implementing necessary improvements based on feedback and evolving trends.
• To consider the recommendations from the Anti Ragging Squad.

The “Anti Ragging Squad” is specialized and dedicated to preventing and addressing ragging, which refers to any form of harassment, bullying, or abuse experienced by students, particularly the new students. The role of this committee is to foster a positive and respectful atmosphere within the university.

The primary responsibilities: -

• To conduct extensive awareness campaigns to educate students about the consequences and harmful effects of ragging.
• To receive complaints from students and initiate prompt investigations. The committee ensures confidentiality, sensitivity and fairness throughout the investigation process.
• The committee takes appropriate disciplinary actions against the perpetrators.
• Regular Monitoring and survey the campus environment to find any ragging activities, and coordinate with hostel wardens.

As per the directives of Supreme Court of India / UGC, and Anti-Ragging Squad has been constituted comprising of the following members for the Academic Year 2024-25 and 2025-26.

The Internal Complaints committee (ICC) is established to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all the members of Indus University. It is responsible for addressing complaints related to sexual harassment, discrimination, and other forms of misconduct within the university premises. The primary objective of the ICC is to create a conducive environment that promotes gender equality, prevents harassment, and handles complaints impartially and confidentially.

The key roles and the responsibilities of the committee shall be:

• Receive complaints
• Conduct Investigation
• Mention Confidentiality
• Provide support and guidance
• Recommendation and action

In line with the policy of Indus University and according to AICTE Indus University has constituted the internal complaint committee for the year 2024-27 with the following members.

In an effort to promote well-being of the female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of Indus University to deal with cases/complaints of sexual harassment and to implement the women's policies in general a Women Development Cell has been constituted in Indus University. This is in compliance with the directions issued by the UGC and MHRD is for the year 2025-26 and 2026-27.

Objective:
WDC focuses on gender-sensitization in the organization which aims at creating a harmonious environment for women on campus.

Role & Functions:

1. To provide forums for discourse and dispute regarding any Kind of harassment which includes sexual harassment instances at the institute.
2. To encourage discussion on women's rights and gender-related issues.
3. To organize symposiums, workshops, expert talks and other related activities on awareness about women's safety.
4. To invite varied NGOs and Government organizations for participation in different activities organized by the institution.
5. To become a resource Centre for women and provide a forum for exchange of ideas.
6. To review safety and security measures for female employees and girl students at Indus University campus.
7. 24 X 7 Women helpline number security system in the campus for providing safety to students and female faculty and non-teaching faculty.

The Staff Welfare and Grievance Committee, aimed at addressing and resolving any concerns or grievances raised by our valued staff members.

The committee’s primary objective is to provide a fair and impartial platform for employees to voice their grievances and ensure that these matters are resolved in a timely and effective manner. We believe that fostering a positive and respectful work environment is essential for our organization’s success, and the committee will play a pivotal role in achieving this goal.

The committee shall be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and addressing staff grievances related to workplace conditions, interpersonal conflicts, organizational policies, and any other relevant matters. All the decisions and proceedings of the committee will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

IQAC Committee has been constituted comprising of the following members:

The Purchase committee is responsible for reviewing, recommending, and overseeing procurement requests to ensure transparency, efficiency, and compliance with university policies.

The committee is responsible for the following tasks: -

• Reviewing purchase requests submitted by various departments.
• Evaluating the necessary, budgetary implications, and alignment with university goals for each purchase.
• Ensuring compliance with university procurement policies and relevant legal regulations.
• Assessing the technical specifications, quality, and sustainability of the proposed purchases.
• Conducting cost – benefit analyses for major purchases.

With a view to keep the motto for strong linkages and collaboration between the industries across the country for promotion of industrial research and development activities, trainings and other joint initiatives, Indus University has started Institution Industry Cell (IIC)

The Institution Industry Cell (IIC) will facilitate the activities of to utilize the industry CSR activities, exchange of innovative ideas among the students, faculty and industry, student placements student internships, industrial visits, arranging guest lecture for student community on the recent trends, etc. The cell will coordinate the alumni network for the growth of Institute and student's community and will connect with our alumni in various aspects such as research collaborations, arrangement of alumni lectures by distinguished achievers and knowledge sharing sessions.

The Institution Industry Cell (IIC) Committee is constituted for the year 2024-25 & 2025-26 comprising of the following members

The IAC will provide a platform for both the students as well as faculty members to be aware of industry expectations of skill sets required for students. This enables students to be aware of the lacunae in their skills and provides an opportunity to upgrade them. This will enhance the Teaching Learning Process and enable the Institution to produce quality students.
