B.Tech Engineering Technology

Indus Institute of Technology and Engineering (IITE) was established in 2006 with a vision to train and upgrade the technical skills of engineers as per the industry’s requirements. It was a conscious effort to look beyond the theoretical framework, understand the natural world and decipher its main concerns. The journey of IITE to transform raw talent into seasoned engineers has been the longest at Indus University, making it the eldest constituent institute till present-day at the university.

Institute of Technology & Engineering provides work and play environment to boost students’ persona and intellect quotient throughout the academic period. While they are exposed to fieldwork, much weight is given to research and development in engineering. Students are encouraged and supported in various ways to plan and execute startups.

Engineering (B.Tech) Admission Process

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will admit students based on merit on 50% of the sanctioned strength for each course. The student needs to register himself with ACPC after the result.

50% seats of the sanctioned strength of each course are Management Quota, admission of which is handled by the institute as per guidelines of ACPC.

Engineering (B.Tech) Courses Eligibility

Minimum Aggregate 45% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, Theory exam in H.S.C. of any boards.

Engineering (B.Tech) Course Duration

4 Years (8 Semesters)

Department of Computer Engineering

Computers are an essential part of several sectors like healthcare, education, intelligence, space, science, medical, finance, banking, and many more. With a massive growth in demand for computers in every part of the world, the Computer Engineering field at the top of all fields with a vast number of opportunities for our students.

Air-conditioned computer labs are available on multiple floors and laboratories are equipped with the most advanced systems for both: Windows and Linux servers. Students can get hands-on experience on the latest software packages and learn them. We also have a great placement ratio for our computer students. 

Department of Automobile Engineering

Automobile Engineering will suit students who are interested in the design, working, and manufacturing of vehicles and their parts. If the student has skills such as sketching, imagination, creativity as well as problem-solving skills will help to understand the course easily and build a rewarding career in the Automobile manufacturing and design sector. 

Automobile Engineering converges on topics such as the design, manufacturing, and working of vehicles such as cars, buses, motorcycles, etc. The program focuses on tools, engines, machinery, electrical and electronic systems used in vehicles as well as in manufacturing them. Also, subjects like cost estimation, plant processes, and management, CAD, safety aspects, research, and development are covered in the course.

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is a combination of engineering physics and mathematics principles. It also provides a brief knowledge of materials science to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering branches.

In mechanical engineering, the person needs to understand the mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity. Tools such as computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and product lifecycle management and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons, and others are used by a mechanical engineer. It is the field of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery

Department of Civil Engineering

In the branch of Civil Engineering, we include planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, and supervising infrastructures. We also adapt to modern technology and provide brief knowledge about essential facilities like highways, bridges and tunnels, schools, hospitals, airports, and other buildings, sewage systems, and water treatment facilities. Subsequently, the course also includes the safety of people, protection for the environment, and improving existing infrastructure. Technical skills, Project Management, Critical Thinking, Communication Skills, and Creativity are the fundamental skill sets that we try to develop in our students.

Our Civil department is well established with all the resources and well-equipped state of the art laboratory to facilitate the teaching-learning process through which students gain the theoretical knowledge and practical applications. 

The period of practical training in the final semester acts like a bridge to gather the knowledge from the theory to practical applications in the field where professional skills can be inculcated. Workshops, seminars, industrial visits, and expert lectures are also organized for the growth of students from time to time. The civil exhibition is one of the trademark events of the department where students can showcase there ideas and innovations.
