Indus University Research Aptitude Test (IURAT) Ph.D Programmes
Total Duration of the examination – 1 hour
The paper will have 2 sections as per the details furnished below. The paper will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions.
Section –A
Research Methodology and Communication skills (50 Marks)
1. Research Methodology (40 Marks)
Research Methodology: An Introduction, Defining the Research Problem, Research Design, Sampling Design, Measurement and Scaling Techniques, Methods of Data Collection, Processing and Analysis of Data, Sampling Fundamentals, Methods of Analysis, Testing of Hypotheses, Data Interpretation and Report Writing
2. Communications Skills (10 Marks)
Section –B
Subject Specific Section (50 Marks)
The questions for this section will be related to respective stream.
For Engineering Related Streams, the syllabus will be as per GATE / Graduate Degree- level engineering course
For Management / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics the syllabus will be as per UGC NET.
Note:
The above written MCQ based, test shall have 50 % weightage for the final selection to the program. This test shall be followed by presentation of research proposal by candidate and personal comprehensive interview, which shall assess the suitability of the candidate to undertake research. A candidate is required to make a brief presentation of about 10 to 15 minutes on his/her research interest domain.
The Final Date of Written Test will be communicated to you.
