Mission Prarambh


"Mission Prarambh" is the historic moment for the Indian Space Mission as the private sector enters into space. Named as a tribute to the father of India's space programme Vikram Sarabhai, the rocket, Vikram-S, is a part of the Mission called ‘Prarambh,’. Vikram-S is the India’s first private space mission christened Prarambh—by Skyroot Aerospace based in Hyderabad—which was launched from Indian Space Research Organization’s (Isro’s) Satish Dhawan Launch Centre at Sriharikota and authorized by Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN–SPACe) is a single-window autonomous agency under the Department of Space of the Government of India. IN–SPACe will act as a link between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and private sector companies, assessing "how best to utilise India's space resources and increase space-based activities."
