Master of Science in Information Technology Course Details:

A Master of Science in Information Technology is a two-year Post-Graduate Programme aimed at providing an enriching experience to its students, by assimilating the technical and business features of Information Technology.

Great emphasis is given to practical understanding which enables individuals to gain exposure on implementation of fundamental concepts. The designed curriculum focuses on deeper explanation of concepts which are gained out of research oriented approach.

On completion, students will be fit to join the field related to Information Technology. Additionally, students learn how to use algorithms, handle data, analyze technology, and use a variety of networks, all of which are crucial components of information technology. The course also covers the various procedures involved in processing, producing, and safeguarding data in order to construct software applications, programmes, networks, etc. It gives students the analytical and critical thinking abilities they need to succeed in the quick-paced IT business.

Information Technology and Computer Applications courses are available at the Indus Institute of Information & Communication Technology (IIICT). IT expertise is highlighted, with a thorough and significant foundation applied to the fundamental understanding and knowledge of every facet around it. Its curriculum incorporates innovative information technology and the development of organizational skills, encouraging technological entrepreneurship. The IIICT students are prepared to demonstrate their abilities and establish a technologically literate society.

Admission Process:

According to the admissions committee, students are enrolled on Indus University based on merit. Aspirants must fill out and submit the form online to register themselves.

After speaking with and receiving approval from the admissions committee, students can walk in and enroll in the course.

College graduates with degrees in BCA, B.Sc (IT), B.Sc (Computer Science/Applications), and B.Sc (Information Science/Systems) passed out a minimum of 50% of marks from a recognized university.

Project Exhibition 2023

The Department of Computer Science organized a Project Exhibition on April 26, 2023, which featured the technical talent of MCA, M.Sc.-IT, BCA, B.Sc.-IT, B.Sc.-Computer Science, and B.Sc. Data Science students. A total of 13 groups participated in the event, with Mr. Vivek Malam, a student of M.Sc.-IT, securing the first rank for his project on "A Doodle Identification using Neural Network," while Mr. Dhrumil Shah from BCA-4th semester was the runner-up for his project on "A Virtual Game Controller." The event was judged by Dr. Hitesh Bheda, Co-Founder of NiviData Consulancy, who praised the students' work and encouraged them for their professional growth, inviting some to further enhance their projects in his company.

Round Table Discussion

Department of Computer Science, Indus Institute of Information & Communication Technology, Indus University along with Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (ACSIT), has organized a round table discussion under G 20 with the theme of "Case Studies of Global Impact of Indian IT Start-ups" on 11th April, 2023. The participants discussed the subject in detail and supported their views strongly with various examples. Nine participants and two faculty members participated in the discussion. With a conclusion, the discussion ended after an hour. The whole event was managed by ACSIT students and faculty coordinators.

“Learning with Peers - Neural Network"

Department of Computer Science, IIICT has organised a session on “Neural Network” under the concept of Learning with Peers on 14th April, 2023 at 03:00 PM to 04:30 PM under the Association of Computer Science and Information Technology. The talk started with opening remarks by Ms. Bhavana Hotchandani, faculty coordinator, ACSIT. She encouraged the students to participate more in the talks and briefed about the concept of “Learning with Peers”. Later, the session was lead by Mr. Aditya Singh Bhadoriya, Student of B.Sc. - Computer Science(AI & ML) semester 6. Almost 30+ students participated as the audience. Aditya started with the introduction of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Neural Networks. He started with sharing history and basic terms related to Neural Network. He also covered basic architecture, concept of Perceptron, Activation functions, concepts of bias & weight in Neural Network models. He briefed about many important Neural Network models and when to use which. He discussed many interesting real life examples related to the concept. It was indeed an interactive session. Students showed the most interest and they questioned about basic concepts and models and the proper guidance was given by. It was a very helpful and interactive session.
