Master of Science in Information Technology Course Details:

A Master of Science in Information Technology is a two-year Post-Graduate Programme aimed at providing an enriching experience to its students, by assimilating the technical and business features of Information Technology.

Great emphasis is given to practical understanding which enables individuals to gain exposure on implementation of fundamental concepts. The designed curriculum focuses on deeper explanation of concepts which are gained out of research oriented approach.

On completion, students will be fit to join the field related to Information Technology. Additionally, students learn how to use algorithms, handle data, analyze technology, and use a variety of networks, all of which are crucial components of information technology. The course also covers the various procedures involved in processing, producing, and safeguarding data in order to construct software applications, programmes, networks, etc. It gives students the analytical and critical thinking abilities they need to succeed in the quick-paced IT business.

Information Technology and Computer Applications courses are available at the Indus Institute of Information & Communication Technology (IIICT). According to the admissions committee, students are enrolled on Indus University based on merit. Aspirants must fill out and submit the form online to register themselves.

After speaking with and receiving approval from the admissions committee, students can walk in and enroll in the course.

College graduates with degrees in BCA, B.Sc (IT), B.Sc (Computer Science/Applications), and B.Sc (Information Science/Systems) passed out a minimum of 50% of marks from a recognized university.

Train the Trainer: Exploring Generative AI and Its Impact on the Future of Education:

Indus Institute of Information & Communication Technology, Department of Computer Science has organized a session under “Train the Trainer” on the topic of “ Generative AI & The Future of Education” on May 11, 2024. The resource person was Ms. Manisha Bhatol (Assistant professor, IIICT).The expert session underscored the transformative potential of Generative AI in shaping the future of education. While acknowledging its benefits, the session emphasized the importance of addressing challenges and ethical considerations to harness the full potential of Generative AI in promoting accessible, personalized, and equitable learning experiences for all students and faculties.

Knowledge Sharing Session on ‘The Tactics for Data Centre Design’

Dr. Hardiksinh Rayjada from the Department of Computer Science (IIICT) had conducted a Knowledge Sharing Session on Topic “The Tactics for Data Centre Design”. This session aimed to clarify complex concepts and empower participants with practical strategies for optimizing data center architecture.

Workshop on Examination Reforms

Indus Institute of Information and Communication Technology collaborated with IQAC to organize a Workshop on Examination Reforms, graced by Honorable Executive President- Dr. Sandeep Chakrovorty, Deputy Registrar- Dr. Suketu Jani, HoD CS - Ms. Bhavna Hotchandani, and Director IICT-Dr. Rajeev Mathur. Hon’ble Executive President, Dr. Sandeep Chakrovorty addressed the participants by underlining the significance of such initiatives in enhancing the quality of education.. Dr. Rajeev Mathur commenced the workshop by delving into the historical context of education in ancient India, contrasting it with the contemporary examination-driven system inherited from the British colonial era. Dr. Rajeev Mathur advocated for the implementation of Bloom's taxonomy, which categorizes learning into cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, as a framework for designing examination papers. Participants actively engaged in discussions and practical exercises, gaining insights into crafting question papers that assess various aspects of student learning and development.
