Indus University, through the Institute of Information & Communication Technology, Department of Computer Science, delivers technology-focused programmes that integrate computing foundations with analytical and data-driven methodologies.
The department emphasizes applied learning, statistical reasoning, algorithmic thinking, and practical exposure to contemporary data technologies aligned with evolving industry requirements.
The B.Sc. Data Science programme is a three-year full-time undergraduate course that integrates foundational concepts of computing, statistical methods, and algorithmic techniques with large-scale data analysis.
The programme is designed to enable students to derive insights and support data-driven decision-making across industries.
The curriculum develops proficiency in key domains such as Data Analytics, Data Mining, Big Data Technologies, Predictive Modeling, Database Management Systems, Data Warehousing, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
The programme is supported by strong foundations in Mathematics, Statistics, and critical thinking, preparing students for modern data-driven technology environments.
The curriculum integrates theoretical concepts with practical implementation to build strong analytical, technical, and decision-making capabilities.

Students gain hands-on experience working with datasets from domains such as business, healthcare, and finance.
Graduates may also pursue higher studies in Data Science, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and related domains.
Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination in Science stream or Commerce (Accountancy / Statistics / Mathematics) streams with a minimum of 45% aggregate from a recognized board.
Admissions are conducted based on merit as determined by the Admission Committee.
Candidates may register online or opt for walk-in admission, subject to interaction and approval.

The standard B.Sc. Data Science program is 3 Years (6 Semesters), while the Honours program is 4 Years (8 Semesters).
