Training & Awareness Program on First Aid & Basic Life Support

ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS AND EMERGENCY CARE TRAINING PROGRAM

The Department of Civil Engineering, IITE, Indus University, in collaboration with Value Life Foundation, organized a Road Safety Awareness and Emergency Care Training Program on 7 August 2026 under the CSR initiative of Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL). The programme engaged 234 students, 20 student volunteers and faculty members in an informative and practical learning experience covering road safety awareness and accident prevention, CPR and emergency care, safe two-wheeler riding practices, and responsible road behaviour. The hands-on training equipped students with essential knowledge and skills to respond confidently during emergencies while encouraging safer and more responsible road practices, reinforcing the importance of safety, awareness and responsible citizenship.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SAMAY LAKEVIEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

The Department of Civil Engineering, IITE, Indus University, organized an Industrial Visit to the Samay Lakeview multi-storey residential construction project at Ghuma, Ahmedabad, on 14 August 2026. A total of 26 Diploma Semester III Civil Engineering students participated, accompanied by Dr. Ankit Sodha. The visit provided students with practical exposure to construction activities, reinforcement, formwork, structural components, construction practices and site safety, helping them connect classroom learning with real-world engineering practices.
Training & Awareness Program on First Aid & Basic Life Support

IGBC STUDENTS’ CHAPTER INAUGURATED AT INDUS UNIVERSITY

The Department of Civil Engineering, Indus University, successfully organized the inauguration of the IGBC Students’ Chapter on 12 August 2026. The event brought together distinguished representatives from the IGBC Ahmedabad Chapter and provided an insightful platform for students to learn about sustainable development and green building practices. The programme included addresses by Mr. Shaan Zaveri, Co-Chair, IGBC Ahmedabad Chapter, and Mr. Taral Shah, Chairman, IGBC Ahmedabad Chapter, along with the presentation of the IGBC Certificate to Indus University. An informative presentation on IGBC and an expert keynote session on Green Buildings further highlighted the importance of sustainable construction and environmentally responsible practices. The inauguration marked an important step towards promoting awareness and encouraging students to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future.
