Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, IITE, Indus University along with ASM-Gujarat Chapter conducted GUJCOST sponsored National Online Seminar on “Recent development and Future Growth Potential of Nanotechnology” on 8-11^th March 2021.  The key resource persons were a combination of Research Institute, Education Institute and Industry from India and abroad.  The speakers for Dr. Shivakumar Muthusamy – Ariviya Inc., Dr. Gurvinder Singh -Sydney University, Dr. Raman Singh – Monash University, Dr. Charu Lata Dube-Central University of Gujarat, Dr. Saakshi Dhanekar – IIT Jodhpur, Prof. Pradyumansinh Jhala – National Institute of Design, Dr.S. Varalakshmi – Materials consultant, Dr.K. Geetha – Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology and Dr. Ghamshyam Patil – Anand Agricultural University.  The high profile seminar gave an insight into the various fields of Nanotechnology such as sensor, agriculture, biomedical, textile, livestock and fertilizer.   In addition, it covered energy materials, magnetic materials and carbon based materials.  One hundred and sixty-four participants including UG and PG students, research scholars, faculty and industry persons benefited from this seminar. Participants from 9 states in India and four countries including India attended this seminar. The coordinator for this program is Mr.Gaurav Avasthi and Mr. Monil salot, Assistant Professor.
