Indus University, Ahmedabad has organised a webinar on “Ecosystem Restoration ” as a part of World Environment Day Celebration in Association with Gujarat Pollution Control

World Environment Day is celebrated each year on 5th June to create awareness on environmental and sustainable development for mother Earth, Cities and Societies. The repercussions of unsustainable environment management are being experienced during covid pandemic age; the poor air quality and human immunity are indirectly related. The non-availability of oxygen during the covid pandemic is the important parameter on Sustainable Society. If we do not manage our planet well, human suffering, death and other negative issues wil remain dominant.

Honorable Shri Gopal Arya ji (National Convenor of Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi of RSS) was the Chief Guest of the occasion and emphasizes the importance of Sustainable living for a sustainable planet.  He also cited the humble life of RSS Shakhas in promoting humanitarian work at the community level across the country.

Respected Guest of Honor of the event shri A. V. Shah (Member Secretary, GPCB, Gandhinagar) shared various environment protection laws and regulations available for maintaining and restoring the ecosystem.  He cited interesting work being done by the state government of Gujarat in this direction both for urban, rural and industrial areas.

Honorable Executive President (Vice Chancellor) Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Srivastava of Indus University explained about best environmental practices including bricks made of plastics, Solid Waste Restoration, Ozone Layer Depletion and recycle of Plastic Waste.  He also emphasizes the research being carried out by the Indus University in Environmental Remediation, Green Building, Industrial Automation in line with the Vision of the state of Gujarat.

After completion of the webinar, Honorable Executive President (Vice Chancellor) Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Srivastava and other Dignitaries of Indus University had done the sapling of plants as a part of Celebration of World Environment Day at Indus University Campus.
