Department of Computer Science, IIICT has organized a webinar on “IoT Dimensions: Navigation Research Applications” on 12th March 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM under the Association of Computer Science and Information Technology.

A webinar was started with the Saraswati Vandana. ACSIT president Mr Harshit Shah has welcomed everyone for the webinar. The opening remarks were given by Dr Ankur Saxena – Director, IIICT, Indus University shared his valuable thoughts with students. He started his speech with the introduction of IoT and how it is helpful in the IT field. He conveyed his best wishes to the faculty members and students.

Later, the speaker was welcomed by Mr Harshit Shah. The keynote speaker – Dr Kanta Prasad Sharma has a rich experience of more than 14 years as an innovative academician. Dr Sharma has PhD in Information Technology from Amity University Master’s from UPTU (Uttar Pradesh Technical University) Lucknow, India. At present, he is the Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering at the University Institute of Computing, Chandigarh University- India. He has published 20 research papers with SCI; SCOPUS indexing international Journals and Conference Proceedings and also the Member of ACM; Computer Society of India, IEEE.

Dr Sharma has explained about opportunities in Industrial IoT. He also explained Iot with Economic, institutional, social & cultural perspectives. He also showed IoT characteristics and dimensions. He also explained signalling issues in IoT navigation systems. He also described the Global Navigation Satellite System, Satellite Based Augmentation System. Also, he started research in the Navigation system, its applications, and its benefits. Dr Sharma has also invited us to visit Kalpana Chawla Centre For Research In Space Science And Technology At Chandigarh University.

The whole program was managed by Mr Kirtankumar Rathod and Mr Ravi Nimavat faculty coordinators, DCS, IIICT, Indus University.  Ms Krisha Patel, student coordinator of ACSIT has concluded the session with a thanks note to everyone.
