Department of Computer Science, IIICT has organized a webinar on “Shape Your Career” on 24th October, 2020 during 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM under the Association of Computer Science and Information Technology.
Webinar was started with opening remarks given by Dr Vishal Dahiya. Webinar was conducted by Mr Aakar gupte, Sr Automation Engineer at AIT Global India and one of the alumni of Indus University from 2010-2013 batch. Mr. Aakar Gupte has started with the introduction of Mr. Sundar Pichai, CEO at Google and from a non IT background. Agenda of today’s webinar was How should you choose your career, which technical or management skills are required and how to test your skills. He discussed technical skills such as programming, big data, data science, Database Management and algorithms as well as management skills such as decision making, strategic thinking negotiation, communication and targeting goals. He also talked about various topics such as How to grow as per your expectation, how to step up in your career, achievement through continuous learning and importance of certification. At the end of the webinar students have asked questions related to their career and the proper guidance was given by the expert. It was a very helpful and interactive session. Students get motivated and also felt confident about selection of their career choice.
