Department of Computer Science has organized workshop on “Data Science in industry” under the Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (ACSIT) on Saturday, 29^th February, 2020. The workshop timing was from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It was arranged in the MBA Seminar hall.

This workshop is intended for college students, researchers, developers and industry people who are actively engaged in developing and offering a data science curriculum.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Akshay Dodhiwala, a Data Scientist at Hypeteq software solution and Mr. Dhaval Sodha from Value Chain Solutions. They emphasized that mathematics is important for data science. Also, they have explained applications related to data science which we are using in our daily life. Data Science is a blend of various tools, algorithms, and machine learning principles with the goal to discover hidden patterns from the raw data. They have explained Machine learning, Neural Network, TensorFlow and Support Vector Machine concepts. Also, the example was shown of loyalty analysis of super-market through python data science library. The workshop was ended with the question-answer session.
