Indus University celebrated the 73^rd Republic Day with immense joy, pride and enthusiasm. NCC cadets, faculty members, non-faculty members and the students of the University were present to remember the great freedom fighters who showed incomparable courage in their pursuit of the dream of Swaraj.

The event began at 8:28 AM with the arrival of Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Srivastava, our honourable Vice-Chancellor.  Dr. Srivastava along with Lt. Pashva Shah and the pilots of NCC cadets proceeded further to hoist the flag. It was a glorious moment as everyone looked up towards the billowing Tiranga and sang the National Anthem together in one voice.  The event was further proceeded by 9th Gujarat Battalion, NCC Nirikshan following with the NCC parade. The NCC Song “Hum sab Bhartiya Hain” was played to celebrate the concept of Unity in Diversity.

The student hosts Pratham Shah and Ritika Dhall, then welcomed the gathering. The event went further by inviting the Chief Guest of the event, Dr. V. K. Srivastava Vice Chancellor, Indus University upon the stage for sharing his valuable thoughts. Sir spoke about the achievements of the University and congratulated the team behind it. Sir also motivated the faculties and students to empasize more on research and ended his speech by a Vision of taking Indus University to newer heights. Further,a short cultural event was arranged which included performances by various members of Student Activity Cell(SAC).

The program came to a graceful end around 9:30am when the Hosts showed gratitude and gave their Vote of Thanks to every member to have made the event a successful face, this was followed by refreshments arranged for everybody.
