In a first of its kind initiative Indus University organized a Community Outreach Program on 9^th October 2021 under Extension Education. In a humble effort to reach out to its own immediate community ‘One-Day Workshop on English for Young Learners’ was planned for the children of Administrative & Ground Staff of the University. 

The inauguration was graced by Prof. Dr. V.K. Srivastava, Vice-chancellor & Executive President IU, Dr. R.K. Singh, Registrar IU, Dr. Sandeep Chakravorty, and Dean Academics IU, who motivated the participants with their words of encouragement and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Mamta Pillai, Dean (i/c) Extension Education, towards strategizing and executing an event of this nature. 

The valedictory was graced by Ms. Radhika Bhandari, the trustee, at whose hands all children received certificate of participation.  The workshop was conducted by Dr. Mamta Pillai (Head, DoL), Ms. Pranjal Bhatt (Lecturer, DoL) and Ms. Jinal Purohit (PG-MA student) and managed by student coordinators Mr. Avirath Parekh & Ms. Roshni Valvekar under Extension Education Cell. All the children thoroughly enjoyed the interactive workshop especially designed to cater the needs specific to their age-group. The Management of Indus University believes in the philosophy of social responsibility and a moral obligation to help their communities for larger welfare of the society, which ultimately leads to nation building and this initiative was a step taken in the right direction to bring together whom we value & care under the fold of Indus University.
