The Engineering Community across India celebrates Engineers Day on 15th September every year as a tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, popularly known as Sir MV.
Indus Institute of Engineering & Technology, Indus University celebrated Engineer’s day in both online and offline mode on 15th September, 2021 in association with Space Application Centre ,ISRO ,Ahmedabad & Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition.
Commencement of Engineers Day celebration was executed by Asst. Prof. Miloni Ganatra. Today’s Function was graced by Chief Guest Shri. Nilesh M. Desai, Distinguished Scientist, Director , Space Application Centre (SAC/ISRO), Ahmedabad.The chief guest briefed about a latest innovation in indian Space Program & opportunity at ISRO for young engineers The welcome address was given by Dr. Sujoy Chaudhary, Director (I/c), IITE.Dr. V.K. Srivastava ,Hon’ble Executive President (Vice Chancellor ) ,Indus University gave the inaugural speech with most updated reviews on achievements and visionary thoughts of Sir Visweswaraya, which have great potential even for the ongoing era of Engineering.
Guest Speakers of today’s event were Shri. N.J. Bhatt, Head of Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition, Shri J.P. Joshi, Retd. Senior ISRO Scientist and Shri Chirag Diwan, Retd. Senior ISRO Scientist. The speakers shared their association with Dr. Vikram Sarabhai and his contributions to the society and scientific community of the country.
