On 11th March 2019, Professor Gautam Chudasama carried out a workshop on Material Characterization. This workshop allowed students to explore multiple topics, from cover working principle of optical emission spectroscopy, and optical microscope to the scanning electron microscope, and case study regarding optical microscopy. Apart from it, students prepared a standard metallurgical sample from different metals and observed the microstructure in an optical microscope. The workshop was conducted with an objective to prepare students for the industry.
