IndusTechnoFreaks 2018 was organized by Institute of Information & Communication Technology, Indus University on 19th January, 2018. The event was comprise of technical events like Debugging, Blind Coding, Webpage Designing and non-technical events like Advertise making, Photothrone, Spin wheel and LAN Gaming. Total 150 students have participated and 80 students came from 6 colleges and 4 schools to participate in competitive events. Students were awarded with trophy and certificates for all categories of events.
The event was preceded by inauguration of student chapter of Computer Society of India at Indus University. The inaugural event was graced by Dr. Sandeep Vasant (Chairman, CSI Ahmedabad Chapter), Dr. S. O. Khanna (Director, IICT), Dr. KVN Srinivasa Rao (Director, IITE) and Dr. Vishal Dahiya (HoD, IICT). Dr. S.O.Khanna started with welcome speech and introduction of IICT. Dr. KVN Srinivasan Rao also emphasized on constant learning and importance of the time to the students.
Dr. Sandeep Vasant has guided and motivated students for CSI membership with various innovative activities. He has thrown light on Experiential Learning; it was a great experience for students as new learning dimension for them. He had also discussed the Bright Box project which was undertaken as a problem and then solution was provided with the help of experiential learning.
Mrs. Madhvi Dave concluded the event with vote of thanks. All the dignitaries move toward IICT faculty room for High Tea. All the students are guided to go the respective activities venue in which they have participated. The students showed the full enthusiasm and commitment to the entire event. It was a great learning experience for all of them.
The valedictory function was organized at 3:30 pm in auditorium. The distribution of the participation certificate is done by the respective event Faculty Coordinator. The first winner awarded trophy and certificate by Director IICT. The first and second runner up got the excellence certificate which was awarded by HoD, IICT.
