Rashtriya Ekta Divas 2018

01/11/2018 Indus University Celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Divas. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity day is celebrated every year on 31st October in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who played a great role in unifying the country. National Unity Day was introduced by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s government in 2014 with the aim of celebrating this event every year on October 31. Indus University also celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day) to commemorate the 143rd birth Anniversary of the Iron Man of India. When Prime Minister Shri.Narendra Modi  was inaugurating the tallest statue in the world, the statue of unity: 182 meters tall statue of Sardar Patel  at Kevadiya in Gujarat’s Narmada district ; Science and Humanities Department  arranged talk on Life and Work of Sardar Patel by renown Gujarati Writer and Journalist Mr.Ramesh Tanna. Shri.Ramesh Tanna spoke about  Sardar’s Childhood, sense of humor, his relation with Mahatma Gandhi ,Nehru and other leaders  and  devotion  of  Sardar Patel  throughout the life. He quoted Sardar  as “ True Saint ,Sthitpragya and  Great Politician with full of devotion and integrity about his duty:Karmveer” At the end  First Year  B.Tech. students take  Rashtriya Ekta Divas Pledge about  National Unity, Integrity, Security . Ramesh Tanna  is as a journalist in search of positive stories, and his endeavour to utilise  journalism as a tool to inspire.He belives that  journalism has been an exploration of ‘Why to write?’ rather than ‘what to write? ‘.His published work of more than 7000 positive stories is a clear evidence of his prodigious pursuit.
