The Institute of Technology and Engineering (ITE) organized Parents – Mentors Meet for First year students on 23 November 2019, Saturday. The aims of this meet was to create one way to increase the comfort level of parents and establish positive, productive relationships between Parents and University. The Parent Mentor serves as a bridge between University and Parents. Involving parents in mentoring is one of the best things a program can do to ensure its success. A welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Sandeep Chakravorty , Dean Academics, Indus University. Program started by lighting of lamp and by taking blessings of Goddess Sarasvati.

Director- Institute of Technology and Engineering Prof Dr.-Ing. Anupam K Singh addressed Parents by saying that cutting edge curriculum has been provided to the students with an aim to make then not only industry ready but also to groom them holistically. This can be achieved by giving them necessary value system.

Prof. Dr. M Murganant, Executive President addressed Parents by saying that efforts must made to make them ready for life rather than only focusing on package and lucrative jobs. Executive President also highlighted the role of parents in grooming the future of the students along with teachers.

Asst. Prof. Parita Sheth and Asst. Professor Darshan Bhatt, faculty members of Mechanical Engineering Department gave presentation on, the life of Students at Campus by showing various technical and non-technical activities conducted so far.

Open Session was held where, Executive President, Director, ITE and Dean Academics, interacted/ clarified all the quarries raised by the parents.

The Program ended by Vote of Thanks from Dr. Jaydeep Chakravorty, Head, Electrical Engineering Department.
