Recently Department of Electrical Engineering organized a STTP on “Recent Trends in Power System” during 10^th June to 15^th June 2019 at MBA Hall, Indus University. This 6 days STTP, was sponsored by GUJCOST. Total 18 participants including PG students and Faculties / Research Scholars from different Degree and Diploma Engineering Institutes registered for the event and successfully completed the training program. The STTP was organized for bringing together the researchers, teaching fraternity, industry persons and post graduate students from across the state to exchange the innovative ideas face-to-face in the field of power system. The program was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr) A.K. Singh, Director-IITE, Dr. Sandeep Chakravorty, Dean Academics, Dr. Jaydeep Chakravorty, Head of Electrical Engineering department and by faculty co-ordinators. The domain experts from academics and industry, were called from various places like IITGN, PDPU, NU, LDCE, etc. Different expert sessions including hands-on session and industrial visit to ISRO SAC Ahmedabad, were arranged. In the valedictory function on the sixth day of STTP, the participants shared their experience and feedback about the STTP. At last, participation certificates were distributed to all the participants. Prof. Hinal Shah & Prof. Ruchit Soni were the faculty co-ordinators who co-ordinated for the whole event and for the successful completion of the program.
