Objective of the Talk: To understand emerging practices of DevOps and to learn about Microsoft Azure DevOps platform used in the Software Development Industry.

Program was started with the prayer of goddess Saraswati. At first Dr. Gaurav Kumar Ameta welcomed to the Speaker, introduced about the flow of the event. After that Mr. Pratyush started the session by discussing core concepts of Software Project Management like Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Then he introduced about the DevOps process cycle. He also compared and highlighted that DevOps approach is far better than traditional SDLC. He focused on the fact that in today’s scenario companies are shifting towards DevOps in order to work seamlessly on the various project modules of the software project.

Using DevOps methodology the process of Software Development becomes very much transparent and flexible now days, it facilitates to the developers, project leads and managers to proper track the current project status and individual module progresses. The code written by different software developers could be sent for peer review process.

After that a live demo was given on Azure DevOps platform to the students so that they can understand how Azure and DevOps both things could be integrated together.

All the features in the Azure DevOps platform were explained with live demo and examples. Session was interactive between students and the speaker. At the end vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Hiren Mer. Total 60 students actively participated in the event.
