Indus Institute of Technology and Engineering celebrated Engineers’ Day on 8th September’17 to mark the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and as a tribute to an Indian engineer who was conferred with the Bharat Ratna in 1955.  On this auspicious occasion Shri. Mukesh Bhandari, Chairman, Electrotherm (I) Pvt. Ltd. was an invited guest speaker who enlightened the audience with his ‘Success journey from an Engineer to an Entrepreneur’.  Shri. Bhandari, who is also the recipient of many prestigious awards emphasized that honesty towards constant learning carves the path to achieving higher goals in life.  He elaborated that the role of an engineer does not end at achieving the title, rather goes much beyond for the larger good of the society.  It is only through Engineers that all scientific advancements and inventions reach the masses, while as an Entrepreneur one must possess the knack of identifying and retaining talent, therefore a big responsibility lay on the shoulders of these undergraduate budding engineers at Indus University as future entrepreneurs.  After an interactive session, Shri. Mukesh Bhandari was felicitated by Maj.Gen. Dr. S.S.Dasaka, Executive President, Indus University for gracing the occasion and motivating the students of IITE.

The Engineers’ Day celebration also entailed varied competitions which not only catered to students but also invited faculty participation in interesting events namely Debate, Quiz, Essay Writing, Rangoli & Poster Making.  This herculean task of micro-management was shouldered by an ever enthusiastic team of faculty members who actively coordinated these events with the help of relentless support and efforts of student volunteers.
