Republic Day Celebration 2020

January 26, 2020

Message of Executive President:

EP started by saying “Janani Janmabhoomischa Swargadapi Gariyasi” and explained that Mother and Motherland are superior to heaven. He went on to mention that though Bharat attained independence on Aug. 15, 1947 it was still a dominion republic. On Aug. 29, 1947 the drafting committee chaired by Dr B R Ambedkar was put in place. A draft constitution was prepared and submitted by the committee on Nov. 4, 1947. On Jan 24, 1950 the constituent assembly signed 2 copies of the constitution which came into effect on Jan 26, 1950. EP went on to mention that there are 8 fundamental principles that govern our constitution. “Poorna Swarjya” is not possible without this is what he mentioned. Similarly we need to have guiding principles as students or staff, that guide us. “Poorna Swarajya” can not be obtained if we do not establish that in us first before going towards the nation. He mentioned about the 6C principle.

The first C being Confidence. Self-confidence is the foundation wherein fear doesn’t have a place. Courage is the next. With fear having eliminated courage to face anything becomes a part of our system. With confidence and courage one has to embody compassion so that one can address the need of the society and everyone around. While these three form the individual traits, skill and knowledge to contribute to society is extremely important. Hence the 4th ‘C’ is Capability. Develop capability by enhancing the knowledge and skill. This is primarily what we as an educational institution are into; to help enhance the capability of learners. Embodied with confidence, courage, compassion and capability, one has to tread the path ethically. Hence comes the 5th ‘C’ which is Correctness. It is extremely important to deliver anything ethically. With the 5C’s in place, one has to perform with that demeanour and calmness as a leader. This defines the 6th ‘C’ which is Composure. With the 6 C’s namely Confidence, Courage, Compassion, Capability, Correctness and Composure one truly attains Poorna Swarajya. Let us together work for attaining this state of Poorna-swarajya. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! Vande Mataram!
