The Centre for Indic Studies, Indus University , is honoured to bestow the prestigious title of “विद्याज्योतिर्धरः(Vidyājyotirdharaḥ)” upon Ācārya Dr. Sthaneshwar Timalsina, Professor of India Studies at Stony Brook University, USA, and Founder of the Vimarsha Foundation. This honor is in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the global dissemination, preservation, and interpretation of Bhāratīya Jñāna Paramparā (Indian Knowledge Systems)—particularly in the domains of Tantra, Hindu Philosophy, Consciousness Studies, and Śāstrīya Wisdom. As a scholar who bridges traditional śāstra with modern hermeneutics, Ācārya Dr. Timalsina embodies the timeless spirit of Indic knowledge and thought.
