Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Indus University conducted GUJCOST sponsored National Level Online Seminar on “Metallurgical Failure Analysis of Engineering Components” on 28 – 30^th October 2020.  The key resource persons were a combination of Research Institute, Education Institute and Industry.  The speakers for Mr. Paresh Haribhathi-TCR advanced Engineering Service, Dr. Swati Biswas-GTRE-DRDO, Dr.S.M. Ganesan –CECRI-CSIR, Mr.S.S. Anandan-TryCAE Industrial Engg. Pvt. Ltd., Mr.R. Eswaran-WRI, Mr. Shankar G. subburathinam-Caterpillar India, Dr.P. Parameswaran-IGCAR and Dr. Sujoy K. Chaudhury-Indus University.  The high profile seminar gave an insight into the failure analysis of various engineering components due to fatigue, wear, corrosion, creep, fracture, improper selection of materials and or process as well as available non-destructive testing to detect the failure.  Two hundred and thirty-seven participants including UG and PG students, research scholars, faculty and industry persons benefited from this seminar. from 18 states in India and other countries attended the seminar.
